In addition to that, there are some Virtual Labs, provided by Microsoft, that look promising. After I’ve gone through them, I will post the ones that I think are descent (from my perspective). In the meantime, check out these videos, when you have some time, especially the first one, if you are a beginner on the subject like I am.

    Before doing Ruby full time I spent most of my days coding in C#. In those days C# wasn&#039;t quite as good as Java, but I did prefer the .net library. Visual Studio crashed, but not very often, and ReSharper made coding much less painful. I was developing on a Windows box, but I had never known any other development environment, so I didn&#039;t mind. I was happy.

    Given the number of developers using Subversion, I&#039;m surprised that no one on my blogroll has mentioned the new Subversion clients released in the last few weeks. Subversion, TortoiseSVN, and VisualSVN have all synchronized their version numbers on v1.5. I&#039;ll talk about TortoiseSVN and Subversion changes. VisualSVN has some minor enhancements that basically expose the features introduced by Subversion 1.5. I&#039;ll leave you to investigate them yourself.

    This is just a rant (hopefully it will be regarded as pertinent and non-&#039;laming&#039;) on why Windows users try Linux and return frustrated to Windows after several hours or days. I won&#039;t praise Linux and the way it works, I won&#039;t even compare and say &#039;here Linux is easier because ...&#039;, instead I have a few questions for all of you who blame Linux for not being and behaving like Windows.

    To pay so much attention to Bill Gates&#039; retirement is missing the point. What really matters is not Gates, nor Microsoft, but the unethical system of restrictions that Microsoft, like many other software companies, imposes on its customers.

So here I provide a simple implementation of a generic synchronised dictionary class that is thread-safe, this was developed in .NET 3.5 using the new Threading.ReaderWriterLockSlim class.

    <author>unknown@DZone.com</author>
    <content:encoded>
    Lately I’ve been trying to code an application which requires some form of natural handwriting recognition. Natural Handwriting is basically the way you write on your Tablet/Pocket PC/Palm/Mobile, either using a stylus on your touch-screen or on the desktop using mouse. And after looking at different options available for handwriting recognition, Windows beats every other operating system including Linux and Mac OSX hands down!! And sad because the application for which I’m developing this handwriting recognition module is a popular open-source kids software and mainly targeted towards Linux distros.

For coverage on that outage check out this article.). It looks to be back up and was only down for a split second. At the time of this post the spread firefox website was still down.

    As we all know that our .NET code (C#, VB.NET etc) are converted into MSIL instructions which in turn are put into the assemblies. MSIL is a high level language, not as low as machine instructions, so it needs to converted into machine specific binary code or needs to be interpreted somehow.
